TECHNOLOGY
From compact pyro inflators to high-output hybrid systems, ARC delivers precision-engineered gas generators for every automotive safety application — setting the standard in occupant protection since 1949.
INNOVATION
From our early beginnings as an aerospace and defense company, specializing in the development and manufacture of solid-propellant rocket motors and gas generators, innovation has been a cornerstone of ARC research and development.
ARC produced a variety of upper-stage and spin-stabilized motors, such as the Marc 6 and Marc 7 series used by NASA.
ARC developed a simulated solid propellant known as "Arcite," which was extruded for use in small-scale rocket engines, and was then adapted for use with air bag inflators as early as 1970.
Historic ARC production tools including casting mandrels used to form solid rocket grains and a cutaway view of an ARC-manufactured solid rocket motor can be found in the National Air and Space Museum Collection.
OUR EXPERTISE
Our hybrid inflators combine the best of pyrotechnic and stored gas technologies, delivering superior performance with enhanced safety margins.
Decades of propellant research enable us to formulate compositions that deliver consistent, reliable gas generation across all temperature ranges.
Every component is engineered to exacting tolerances, ensuring repeatable performance and seamless integration with airbag modules.
IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 certified facilities ensure quality and consistency across all manufacturing locations worldwide.
